Hey hey hey! How has your November treated you?? Can you believe it's the last month of the year already? Pretty scary huh? Well lets move on from that discussion, and focus on some good things 😂.
My November was pretty great! I spent the majority of it in the UK visiting my family (for those of you that don't know, I'm a Brit, I've lived in Canada for 8 years now). November is the most affordable time of year to head to the UK, probably because it's constantly raining, but who cares about the weather when you can watch Silent Witness, drink cups of tea and do jigsaws with you mum 😄.
I did two guest spots during my break, one with Tommy Gun Tattoo and a day visit to (the newly named) Harum Scarum in Kingsbridge, more on those later! And also spent a few days in Exeter visiting my brother and sister-in-law. Loads of family time, loads of chocolate, and NO matcha 😳 (well I managed to get the occasional mug, but few and far between). How did I cope?? I have no idea?
Tattoo Time
I left for the UK on the 12th November so I did get to tattoo a few pieces before I left...
Wendy
I was so excited to add this new hibiscus to Wendy's thigh 🌺. We tattooed the top two flowers over six years ago, and I love how this new piece flows right into the original work. It’s big, bold, and unapologetically feminine—exactly the kind of energy I love to tattoo. Organic floral forms like this are my absolute favourite to work on, blending power and softness in one design.
Alyssa
Alyssa’s story really stayed with me. During COVID, while working as a nurse, she folded 1,000 paper cranes—each one representing a wish for the chance to have children. On the day she folded the final crane, she found out she was pregnant with her eldest child. These two origami cranes we tattooed carry that story forward, celebrating resilience, love, and wishes fulfilled. It was such an honour to create something so meaningful for her.

Aida
After seven years, Aida came back for more ink, and I couldn’t have been happier to see her again! 🌸✨ We added these fresh poppies to her healed mandala, and I’m so in love with how it all came together. Seeing clients return after so many years is such an honour—it’s a special kind of trust, and I never take it for granted.

Lee
Adding this little hedgehog to Lee’s nature-inspired sleeve was so much fun! We started his sleeve about 7 months ago, and it’s been amazing to see it come together piece by piece. We surrounded the hedgehog with blackberries and leaves to really capture the woodland vibe that reflects his love for Devon flora and fauna. We also added a rabbit to the back of his forearm (you’ll have to check out my Instagram to see it!), and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s all coming together. Tattoos like this are always my favourite, especially when I get to create them for friends like Lee. 🖤🌿
Megan
Last but very much not least... Megan’s thigh tattoo is such a showstopper! The peonies and botanical elements flow so beautifully with her natural contours, and the whole piece feels bold and cohesive. I love working on large-scale floral tattoos like this—they make such a statement while still feeling soft and organic.
This was a special project that we strategically completed over two sessions, one at Tommy Gun Tattoo and then a week later at Harum Scarum. I normally leave a good three weeks between healing, but we didn't have that luxury during my visit, so I was careful to leave the first session 'complete' so I didn't have to tattoo over anything whilst it was mid-heal.
