Hey hey hey!

Long time no speak, huh! I know I've been awol, I'm sorry.

I was in the UK until the 9th September, and then I've been pretty flat out with work to make up for the fact I was, you know, in the UK (life of the self-employed, huh).

Anyhoo! Here's a super brief round up of the last little while…

I WENT HOME!

I got to hang out with my family, and spend loads of time with these two little terrors. It's crazy how quickly they're growing up.

I also got to see friends and family in Scotland, London and Exeter too, so it was a pretty busy trip. Lovely though. The weather was even good 😲!

ART STUFF

When I was in London I got to see an amazing Cornelia Parker exhibit at Tate Britain. Here's a scrappy page from my sketchbook, but go check out her work, it's sick.

And a really cool Beatrix Potter retrospective at the V&A.

I also got to hang out with my friend Fay and draw the roses from Regent's Park's rose garden, which was a bloody lovely day.

NOT ART STUFF

My brother took me bat spotting at Killerton estate in Exeter which was soooo freaking cool.

I had no idea you could listen to their echolocation calls with these machines. They sound amazing. Like aliens.

We saw//heard 12 species of bats! And there's only like 16 species in the whole of the UK. Lucky, lucky, lucky!

POSTY!

BIG NEWS! I finally go to see my friend Posty the other day! Lol.

What a cool human. What a great night. Tequila who?

TIFF

I was lucky enough to see some screenings at TIFF thanks to my amazing friend Siobhan.

We saw Sanctuary, Raymond & Ray, and Empire of Light. They were all kind of amazing tbh.

Also my partner made this huge sign in the Bell Lightbox lobby, behind me in this photo (he's very clever)

I also managed to spot Brendan Fraser and Harry Styles!

I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO

I'd class this as like, mumble singing? Kinda, maybe? But I really enjoyed listening to this on my plane journeys recently. Super chill.
